The TRainCom® technology was designed and developed for new and innovative radio communication solutions supporting data services in rail applications even up to ultra-high-speed TRANSRAPID MAGLEV trains.

Today, TRainCom® is the brand name of TELEFUNKEN’s product family of high- performance broadband radio systems for use in all kinds of rail applications.

The scalable system structure and architecture makes TRainCom® radio systems adaptable to all train systems – trams, light rail vehicles, metros, high speed trains and maglev trains – with velocities up to 600 km/h without any link performance degradation, even in tunnel environments.

An innovative, purely IP based system concept and an outstanding transmission quality with guaranteed data rates even over 32 Mbps allows an integration of multiple simultaneous communication services in a broadband environment.
This not only improves operational aspects, transport safety and passenger comfort, but could also revolutionize data transmission technology in the railway sector.
