The CRCU is a central gateway in all TRainCom^® radio systems. It offers standard Ethernet/IP interfaces to easily connect IP-based user applications, but can also provide other interfaces (e.g. serial interfaces to legacy systems).
It is used as a platform for overall system configuration and management, but also for the integrated radio system diagnosis.
Comparable to zone controllers in train control systems, DRCUs are used to control and manage data traffic of a track area or metro line, with its relevant radio base stations (RBS) connected.
The CRCU can connect multiple DRCUs over a backbone data network.
