A TRainCom^® MT radio system does not require preventive or periodic maintenance. This is not only relevant for reducing traditional life-cycle costs, but it also reduces maintenance work during the nightly off-service hours. In the case of a fully redundant system layout, even unexpected breakdowns of a track-side or car-borne radio component will not have any impact on normal operation. To enable minimum MTTR values, in the first level of the repair concept the radio system features an easy replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) with plug-and-play functionality.

The all-embracing central diagnostic system of TRainCom^® is based on SNMP.
It quickly provides detailed online information on the system status, malfunctions and identifies the affected LRU of the system. Thus the integrated TRainCom^® radio system supports target-oriented, quick restoration of full system capability.
