Selforganising Network Capability
After setting up of a TReeBeeĀ® wireless sensor network, all Field Units (TRFU) initially begin to set up a communication path to communicate with the Master Unit (TRMU) either by a direct radio link connection, or taking advantage of other sensor units acting as a router for data transfer.
This automatic function is called self-organising network capability, which follows its implemented rules to establish a reliable network architecture.
The same self organising network capability will also be used, if a link connection becomes weak or even gets completely lost e.g. by a defective TRFU sensor unit used as a router for other units.
Such a scenario is illustrated here, where an alternative wireless link connection (red) is established between the Master Unit and the Field Unit (right above), assuming the TRFU in the middle is not available anymore.
